  • Sensory Play for Neurodivergent Pre-Schoolers!

  • Calm Area

    Thanks to your generous donations my students now have a calm area that is well equipped to help them work through their big feelings when they become distressed.

    When they first say their new items, they were thrilled to use them and now they independently make their way to the calm area, choose an item of preference, and take their break. The emotion mirrors have allowed them to identify their feelings. The breathing boards guide their deep breaths in moments of distress and the pillows provide them with comfort to self soothe.”

  • Targeting Language With Vibrant Visuals!

    The color printer has done wonders for our classroom. In order for my students to become and remain engaged in an activity, they need to be provided with attractive materials. This printer has allowed me to print colorful classroom activities that are related to the studies in our curriculum such as the clothing study and the tree study. I use this printer for both whole group and small group activities.

    I also printed classroom rules and expectations in color, which I placed at student level.

    Being able to print in color helps our students engage in further discussion about what they see and notice, something that would be limited if our print outs were in black and white.

  • Beginning the School Year!

    The resources our classroom received have been put to use on a daily basis. They are part of our everyday routines and benefit my students in multiple ways.

    The visual schedule has allowed my students to become capable of anticipating the next step in our routines and allows me to prepare them for anything new that will be happening in order for them to expect it.

    The play dough tubs have allowed me to teach concepts such as counting and sorting while using developmentally appropriate practice.

    Thanks to the gift card for Teachers pay Teachers I can access resources that tie into our curriculum that make our learning much more engaging.

    The students enjoy building with their magna tiles and have learned to name the shape of each tile as well.

    All of these materials play a huge role in the mastery of skills that my students are working on. Thank you very much for your contribution to their learning.”
