Bridging Worlds-Expanding Our Dual Language Classroom Library
Funded Dec 30, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity! I am so excited for the new additions to our classroom library. My students need more Spanish books available to help them on their bilingual journey. Thanks to your donations they will now have more options readily available to help them continue to grow and enjoy reading.”

Learning Here, There, Anywhere
Funded Sep 11, 2023My students were SO excited to use the different types of flexible seating options available to them. The new seating options hace provided choice and autonomy to my students. They are better able to understand who they are as students and decide where they learn best in the classroom!
My students have really enjoyed using the different types of seats during our writing sessions. Whether they are writing independently or with a partner, they have been pulling up to a little table with the cushions or using the other seats.
I have truly enjoyed seeing how it went from curiosity of "how do you use this type of seat?" To students being able to identify that a specific seat will be a tool to help them be successful. This is all thanks to your support!!”

Funded Aug 23, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity! Your generosity allowed our Spanish classroom library to grow! My students have been hooked on the series and books that we received. They are especially enjoying the Tipos malos series! My students are enjoying reading the new books during our reading block. Many of them are choosing to lay on our classroom carpets or sit in our class bean bag chair to enjoy the books. They are engaged in reading and have been using the books to practice writing a summary. The best part is that they are enjoying reading!”

Hands on Mathematics
Funded Aug 9, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity. The math resources have been extremely helpful, especially during small group instruction. The concept of equivalent fractions has been difficult for some of my students. The manipulatives have made the topic easier to grasp. They can visually see why 1/4 and 3/12 are equivalent fractions. It has also been extremely helpful to bring out the manipulatives when we are comparing fractions. They can visually see which fraction is greater.
Going forward, students will begin converting fractions into decimals and we will be able to use the flip chart that you funded for us, which will show students the fraction, decimal, and diagram. We will also move on to place value and we will have a model on the board for students to reference throughout the unit, thank to your generosity.
My students get excited any time that I add manipulatives into our lesson. I get excited knowing that they have access to these manipulatives that will help them better understand the mathematical concepts.”

Mrs. Morales
