Funded Jan 14, 2024This project being funded has made a huge impact on me and my students. Before the project was funded, my students were using flimsy styrofoam trays for sand and plastic letters without trays. There were so many instances where our trays would break, and we'd have a sandy mess! We'd constantly lose our plastic letters, and we would have to draw letters on paper and cut them out. Now, all our problems are solved.
When my students saw the new supplies, they were so excited. The use of sand and magnet tiles allows my students to practice their phonics skills and letter/sound correspondence in a fun way. The big colored boxes and the colored sand makes it even more fun for them because they get to draw in sand in their favorite colors. The magnet tiles have been a great addition for my friends who don't like to touch sand.
Moving forward through the school year, we will continue to use these products. My kids are obsessed with them. They ask daily if they can have extra time to play with the sand, magnets and rings. These products will be used for many years to come. You have made learning more fun for so many students!”

Funded Dec 4, 2023This project has made a huge impact on my students. Before the project was funded by you, my students sat on hard metal chairs. I often heard how uncomfortable the chairs were for them. Now, my students get their choice of seats to pick from to aid in comfortability. They tell me daily how comfortable they are now. With the new flexible seating options, I find my students much more focused and on task.
When you funded the project, I was so excited that I couldn't contain myself. I told my students that a very generous person has donated flexible seating to our classroom. You would have thought we won the lottery. The kids were so excited. When they finally saw the new chairs, they all freaked out. There was a lot of cheering and jumping up and down. I wish you could have seen the smiles on their faces.
Moving forward through the school year, we will continue to use our new seats daily. My student's fight over the wobble chairs – don't worry, we made a schedule so there's no arguments! The cushions are a great addition to the stools. My student's also use the cushions when we sit on the floor. I look forward to continuing using our new chairs for years to come!”
