Funded May 11, 2024Thank you so much for your kind generosity! The resources that you have provided us have been put to good use.
The magnetic board has been used for many things along with the magnets. The magnets helps me keep materials visible for the students to learn from. I can keep material up without worrying about it being destroyed.
The class is now able to have materials up on the magnetic board for longer periods of time and not worry that anything will tear. The class is so happy for what they have been given.”

Funded Nov 29, 2023The gift that you have given to our class is unbelievable. The brand new chargers help my students have a fully functional iPad. Each student is also able to have their own charger. The students no longer have to share chargers and worry about their iPads not have enough charge for their iPads to work. They are able to concentrate on their work and not worry about their iPad shutting down due to lack of battery.
My students were so excited when I opened the box that contained the chargers. They could not believe that they would have their own charger. They were so thankful for that day. They just keep saying, "I am so glad I have my own charger." The students take care of the chargers and when they plug in their iPads to charge they are ever so carful as to not damage the new chargers.
The students are forever grateful for what you have gifted them this year. They shout out a BIG Thank You!!”

Funded Sep 28, 2023First of all I would like to say Thank You so much for your generous donation for all the books I received through this DonorsChoose project. The day the box arrived my students were so eager to find out what was inside. Once I opened the box they were so excited to see so many books were gifted to them.
The books came in time to celebrate and read about the special holidays. For example, I was able to read books on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The students loved the feel of the new books. They felt so special for being the first ones to open and read the new books.
The students kept telling each other, "Be careful with the book, they are new and we don't want to ruin them." They appreciate everyone that you have provided for them.”

Funded Aug 14, 2023Thank you so much for your donation so I could provide a safe and neat way to charge my students Ipads. These charging stations have been so very helpful in the classroom. They have provided safety and neatness between the charges and the Ipads.
I have also been able to show the students how to correctly place them in the provided slots and connect the charger to the Ipad. The charging stations have numbered slots so the students have become accustomed to putting their Ipad in the same numbered slot.
My students are so very thankful for the charging station because it provides them with safety and knowing when there is a charger available for them to charge their Ipad.
My students and I are forever grateful for this wonderful gift you have given us.”

Funded Apr 6, 2023My students and I are so grateful for your donation so we could have a large magnetic board. We have been able to use the magnetic board in so many different ways. We have been using the magnetic board for academic purposes and other things.
When the magnetic board arrived and was installed in my classroom the students were super excited that the board was magnetic. They asked me if I had any magnetic materials that they could put on the board. I got some materials our right away and I had each student put something on the board. Their eyes lighted up on what they could do and how the material could stay up for a long time.
Ever since we received the magnetic board the students kept asking after every lesson if I had any materials to put on the board that had to do with that particular lesson. Now I will need to update my magnetic materials so they will be available for the students to use. Once again thank you so much for providing my students what they need to be successful in class.”

Funded Nov 22, 2022The day I found out this project was funded by many caring and giving people I could not contain my excitement. This project was funded during our Thanksgiving break so I had to wait until we got back to school from the break to share the wonderful news with my students. Once we all got back to school from the break I told my students about the project getting funded and we would be receiving the materials soon. The students were so excited they were saying that they could not wait to use the lined dry erase board and the dot markers for different activities.
The day the materials arrived I opened the boxes right away and showed the students what we received. Right away I passed out the lined dry erase boards and the students were excited that the board had lines on them. They had dry erase boards without lines so they tried their best to write as straight as possible whenever they worked on their spelling words or other activities. The students started writing their spelling words on their new boards or random words and even their names. They could not believe how straight the words could look on the boards. They continued to use the dry erase boards all year long.
The dot markers were used for many different activities. The students used them for bingo (the bingo cards were put in dry erase pockets), I Spy activities (once again the activity was put in a dry erase pocket). They used to markers for a 100 day activity. They were put put 100 dots on a dog template that I provided. They enjoyed that activity so much because they had to count and they even got marker stain on their hands and they loved it.
I will continue to use these materials in the foreseeable future.”

Funded Nov 18, 2022My students and I would like to say a big thank you for your generous donation to help us learn and do many different activities that would have other wise been hard to obtain. The day I found out this project was funded I could not wait to tell my students. The next day at school I told my students all about the project and the many different materials I would be able to get for them. Like the little 1st graders they are they shouted with excitement and wanted to know what I would getting them with the Teacher pay Teacher gift cards.
Since this project was gift cards the cards were emailed to me right away. Luckily the gift cards came at a good time because the Christmas season was upon us. We had just let out for Thanksgiving break so I would be using the gift cards for Christmas and other materials for the students learning.
Once the students returned to school from Thanksgiving break I was able to purchase a directed drawing Christmas calendar that the students would make as one of the Christmas gifts for their parents and Christmas craft bundle which allowed the students to color, cut, and glue together a wreath, and Christmas tree. The students enjoyed creating the directed drawings, coloring, cutting, and gluing Christmas bundle activity. Once the whole calendar and Christmas bundle was done they were proud of their work. and were so excited to give it to their parents.
I will continue to use these Christmas activities in the foreseeable future.”
