The Big Classroom Restock!
Funded Sep 17, 2023The headphones have been a huge help in my classroom. Students are able to engage in a variety of texts above their grade level with the help of audiobooks. This technology allows all learners to have a better chance at meeting their learning targets.
Additionally, the pencils are, of course, well used in every class as they seem to disappear out of thin air sometimes (LOL). I am able to make learning fun and visual with the use of the anchor chart paper. Students are constantly referring back to the charts we make as a class to help them with questions and discussion.
Overall, the supplies you have helped to provide my students are making learning happen. We are able to be more successful with the help you have given us. We are so grateful!”

First-Year Jitters!
Funded Sep 6, 2022Wow, what an amazing few months we have had. My students have had the opportunity to express themselves through art and discussion. We have been able to fully take advantage of all the assignments and curriculum we have because of your generous donations.
One instance in particular was when we were reading a text called Esperanza Rising. This book really interested the kids, and they had the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings about the book by drawing pictures to represent the character's reactions to certain events in the book. The students used the colored pencils and markers from this donor's choose project to do so. My fifth-grade students worked together beautifully, shared the spotlight, and completed this assignment well. They even asked to do it again and again for weeks following!
Additionally, I have equipped my calm down corner in my classroom with some of the materials from this donor's choose project. Students have used this space to reflect on their feelings and come back to a learning mindset. The LED tablets and PlayDoh have been a huge hit in my classroom. It can be hard for kids to express themselves, especially when they are overwhelmed with feelings, but I believe these tools have had a positive effect on my students and my classroom. Thank you all so much again for contribution to our classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Anderson
