  • Creative STEM Learning!

    Funded Aug 21, 2023

My students love the creativity that these items have allowed them to demonstrate. Using the stem kits to build their boats, planes and cars was so much fun. They sailed their boats in water!

They have also enjoyed using the magnet sets to create buildings, cars and towns. They ask to build every day! It has taught them how to work collaboratively and has helped to develop new friendships.

I am so appreciative of the new understanding that my students have of what STEM means and how it benefits their thinking. We are planning, building, creating and working as a team. Thank you so much!”

  • Self Regulation Isn't Easy!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

I can't express how thankful I am to have the materials from this project. The Ninja and Little Spots books are priceless. We read one of the books everyday and reread the books when we need to review a skill. They also love the stuffed Little Spots. They sit on the students desk when needed.

The Essential Conversation Cards are also used daily. We use these during class meeting and the students have been intrigued by the questions. They have really had the chance to get to know more about each other.

Totem has been so helpful in building my students confidence and self esteem. We use these every Monday so that our week starts off in a positive way.

    Thanks for your generosity.”

  • Creativity Through STEM!

    Funded Dec 29, 2022

Thank you, thank you, thank you! These STEM activities have been very popular! The Snap Circuits are always in use during STEM time. My students love the Rover and have learned how to make it work! They have been able to connect their learning in science by using the Snap Circuit sets.

The Straw Connectors have been used to make very creative items like a bike, a picture frame and a robot. The students ask me to save their projects so they can continue to improve them.

Legos are always a popular STEM activity. They have created the suggested projects from the box and have now moved into building their own creations. It has been heart warming to watch my students work as a team make things from their imaginations.

    You are appreciated! Thanks again.”

  • Math Rocks!

    Funded Nov 8, 2022

My class was so excited to see receive the materials from Math Rocks! They especially have loved playing with the Multiplication of Tower Math Game. They have been making progress with memorizing their multiplication facts while having a blast! They have been playing it almost everyday.

The other item that has been very popular is Adsumudi. At first my class thought that it was very difficult. After using it for a few days they have found that it is challenging in a fun way. They have had a great time with this game. I have to say that it is challenging for me as well.

Thank you so much for making learning engaging for my students!”

  • Books for Inclusion

    Funded Oct 27, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity. My students have loved reading these new books for our library. They are never in the book shelf, they are always with my students at their desks. They have been reading, sharing and then rereading these titles.

They especially like "The Magical Yet" and "Change Sings: A Children's Anthem". We have discussed the word yet, and "The Magical Yet" helped to reinforce the idea that they may not be able to do something yet. It helps them to stay positive and know that it is okay to still be learning how to do something. "Change Sings" is such an uplifting book. My students enjoy discussing how they can help to change the world for the better and this book encourages their ideas and dreams.

The Little Spot books have taught my students about emotions and how to take action. They adore the Little Spot characters and are using the ideas and strategies from the series to help improve their understanding of emotions and how to regulate their feelings. "Finding Your Spot in the World, A Story About Diversity" has been a class favorite. It makes each student feel that they belong and our appreciated for who they are.

Thank you again, you are so appreciated. These books will be read until they fall apart.”
