  • Indoor and Outdoor Recess Activities

    Funded Jul 30, 2024

I wanted to thank you for supporting my project. The resources you helped me purchase for my students have made a big impact on their social skills while using these materials during inside recess due to inclement weather in Pittsburgh. Students also use these materials while they are in the gym exercising.

When I showed the materials to my students they we so excited and said "are those really for us?" I explained that they were for them nd that people had donated so thy could have materials to use. The 5th graders like to challenge me in Connect Four and Uno. These games have increased the positive interactions not only between students but between students and staff members.

We are planning to use these resources to have class tournaments as a board game behavior incentive. So when students behave appropriately they can earn a chance to ply games with their peers an staff members as a reward. We would like to get more activities to help increase positive social interactions and encourage appropriate behaviors”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Ashi

  • Physical Education Equipment

    Funded Jan 24, 2024

I would like to thank you so much for this opportunity on behalf of my students. These new supplies will make my students so happy and will give them a new opportunity to use some really nice equipment. Being able to see the smile on my students faces will be priceless."

My students were so happy when they saw the new equipment. It gives my students so many different opportunities of playing different types of games and activities. They were all so excited to have new equipment that they got to use especially inside. The students really loved the new jump ropes.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Ashi

  • Outdoor Recess Fun

    Funded Aug 1, 2023

My students are engaging in a soccer lesson currently and we are able to use soft soccer balls in the gym. They are much easier to use on our floor and are much safer to use. We are currently in a 4 week soccer unit to increase our skills while playing soccer. The students are also using some of the equipment at recess. They are having so much fun with the new equipment with their friends.

The students were so excited when they got to see and be able to use the new equipment that we got from our donors choose project. They are like who hit the lottery. This was a very exciting time for them to have so much new stuff to use at recess and in class. Thank you very much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Ashi

  • Physical Education Equipment

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

The students at Arsenal were so happy to receive our new equipment. They were so excited to use new balls that were so nice and new. Some students said its christmas here with all the new stuff. Its was also better from a safety part that kids could use balls that would not hurt them with a rubber cover on them. Students were able to use these balls during lessons in which they could throw and kick a ball safely. The students at Arsenal would like to give you a big thank you. Students will continue to use this equipment next year during PE Classes”

    With gratitude,

  • Arsenal PBIS All-Star Store

    Funded Dec 5, 2022

This has been such a great experience with my students using these fidget toys to be able to continue to do their work and play with the fidget toys also. The toys also help my students with fine motor skills.

The students were so happy the first time they saw theses manipulatives. It seemed like it was a christmas or birthday gift. There were also able to multi-task and still stay on task. Students can still do their work and have another thing in their hand.

Students will be able to come up with other projects on how to implement these fidgets into their lessons that they are currently doing.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Ashi
