  • Mental Health Fair - Students in Action

    Funded Aug 18, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to the mental health ambassadors program! The students have been very appreciative of the resources you provided us. We just completed a week long self care week sponsored by the students utilizing some of the resources you provided. Each day was a different activity promoting their self care and mental health. In particular, the last day was a journaling day where students were able to receive the journals you provided. They got to decorate them with the washi tape and stickers you provided. It was one of the most popular events of the week. Many students came up with impressive designs as you will see in the pictures provided.

The pop bracelets and mental health awareness buttons and stickers were used throughout the week to promote student self care and have been very popular with the students. The ease of the pop bracelets to help with calming is especially helpful to students. The snacks have been supporting our mental health ambassadors at meetings as they plan the next great way to support their peers. We can't wait to use the art supplies - painting and bracelet making for a future mental health fair. We couldn't do these great activities without your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Helme

  • Combating Anxiety through Learning Crochet

    Funded Nov 21, 2023

Thank you so much for your contribution to our crochet for anxiety group. We have gotten started and the students are very excited to learn.

It was a challenge at first to learn crochet, but now we have a few students on their way to making their dinosaur and panda amigurumis! Thank you so much for helping them with learning a skill that can help calm their minds when facing anxiety. We couldn't have done it without you. I hope this is a skill they can carry for years to come! I know they are eager to complete their projects. They also have been very grateful for the snacks that help motivate them and brighten their days!”

  • Youth Mental Health Ambassadors Fighting Stigma!

    Funded Sep 10, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to the Youth Mental Health Ambassadors. The students were very excited by your donations. They enjoyed gathering to unwrap all the boxes and have enjoyed utilizing the fidgets and snacks.

Your donation has helped the program to do many great projects this semester. The Mental Health Ambassadors have used the fidgets, spinning wheel, snacks etc in presentations on mental health to over 20 middle school classrooms and high school classrooms as well.

The students also used the colorful paper to create an awareness campaign around the 24/7 mental health crisis line: 988. They have hung fliers throughout the building. They also have created ticktoks of multiple people with the flier to continue to raise awareness.

The club will continue to use all your great donations in the months to come with future projects including more presentations to classrooms where students get to use the fidgets. Also, future projects may include journaling and/or bracelet making as self care activities. We couldn't have done it without you! Thanks so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Helme
