Organize to Excel: Empowering 6th Graders with Essential Tools
Funded Dec 4, 2023Our new organization bins have made a remarkable difference for our students. They have not only streamlined our classroom workflow but also empowered our students to take charge of their own learning materials.
One standout project where these bins played a crucial role was our recent math project preparation. Each student was able to keep their research notes, drafts, and materials neatly organized in their assigned bin. This not only reduced classroom clutter but also allowed students to easily access their work whenever they needed to refine their projects or seek feedback from peers and teachers.
When the students first saw the bins, their reactions were priceless. They were excited about having their own designated space to store their work and materials. It sparked a sense of ownership and responsibility among them, as they realized they now had a place to keep everything organized without relying on teacher assistance constantly.
Overall, these bins have fostered a sense of independence and accountability among our students. They now understand the importance of organization and are actively engaged in maintaining their bins and keeping them tidy. It's truly been a transformative addition to our classroom environment, facilitating smoother project management and encouraging our students to take pride in their work.
Thank you once again for your generous support, which has directly enhanced the learning experience and academic growth of our students.”

The Calming Corner!
Funded Sep 29, 2022My students are THRILLED about the calm corner materials. I have some of the same classes as last year, and when my students entered my room this year and saw a calm corner, they were so excited to have a safe space to regulate their emotions.
Whenever one of my students is feeling overwhelmed, anxious or upset, and cannot focus on class work, they take a break at the calm corner and it has worked wonders for our classroom. Instead of tensions escalating, students are able to decompress and work through their feelings before acting.
Thank you again for making this dream come true!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Marzullo
