Help Us Turn Pages, Inspire Minds
Funded Mar 26, 2025Thank you so much for choosing to donate to my classroom! Reading is a simple way for students to improve their vocabulary and comprehension skills. My students love reading, but the selection in our school library is limited and many of my students don’t have transportation to our public libraries. By supplying my students with these new books you’re allowing them to grow as learners and people. I know my students will be so excited to read these new novels and will feel grateful for your contributions.”

Charging Up!
Funded May 6, 2024The chargers that were donated have helped my students start their year off so successfully! Just this week my students had an important state test to complete on their Chromebooks. Some of my students forgot their chargers at home; I teach freshmen and being in a new school with new rules can sometimes lead them to being a little flustered. They were able to still charge up and take the test thanks to your help!
Your generous donation will not only help this years students stay prepared, but students in many years to come as well.
Thank you so much for helping our classroom run a little bit smoother and helping ease my students nerves.”

Funded Nov 3, 2023Thank you so much for choosing to donate to my project. My students use the highlighters every day for annotating and love the variety of colors. This helps them organize their annotations. Annotating is such a valuable skill for freshmen to learn as it supports their reading comprehension and allows them to dig deeper into a text.
The notebooks have been so helpful as well. Many students have already filled up their notebooks and received a new one this year. I also had many new students join my class, and I can tell some of their nerves were eased when I was able to provide them with a notebook. I could tell they felt more prepared right away.
The sticky notes have been used to do interactive activities and to help the students label their notebooks and keep their work organized.
The lamp not only helps our classroom feel more comfortable, but it has given us more storage for books and helps students more easily see book options.”

Funded Sep 6, 2023Thank you so much for choosing to donate supplies to my classroom. My students are using the supplies you provided to them daily. The highlighters are our most important tool next to a pencil in English class. Students love to have the different colored highlighters to organize the different literary devices they're searching for while reading. As I have been receiving new students, or students have been filling up their notebooks, I have been able to provide them with these items. We use our notebooks daily, so it's a very important resource for my students. As a new student, it can be scary, especially when you don't have the tools you need to be successful. Something as small as having a notebook on the first day at a new school eases my transfer students nerves. The lamp not only makes our class feel more homey, but it provides storage for all the new wonderful items we have in our room. I cannot thank you enough for helping my students be prepared and feel safe at school.”

Funded Mar 16, 2023Thank you so much for helping me get chargers for my classroom. The Chromebook chargers help students charge their Chromebooks through out the day, so we're able to do online activities. The chargers have been so helpful with online testing, doing online projects, and helping students be accountable for keeping track of their own grades online.
Students feel so loved knowing that they have supplies in the classroom for when they need it. This helps ease their worry when the may accidentally forget to charge their Chromebook over night or lose charge through out the day. In the past, students would feel left out of activities when their Chromebooks died, but now they feel involved, loved, and cared for all because of you!”

Learning about Latinx Cultures Through Literature
Funded Jun 18, 2022Thank you again for choosing to help fund my project. We haven't quite broken into the books yet. My student teaching group, American Literature- English 11, is currently reading more historical works. As we progress, the students will use the books that you donated to compare and contrast historical events with more modern social issues. Several students have asked when we will start reading novels; they will be thrilled to see how many new books they have to choose from this year.
After I complete student teaching, these books will follow me to my very first class room. Students for many years to come will be able to read about people who look like them all because of you. Thank you so much again.”
