I teach the most amazing 6th grade students! I strive to make science fun and tie it to my students real world experiences. They are eager to learn and especially get excited about lab activities! Many of my students come from low income families. Even though the supplies I need are fairly basic and could be found at regular stores like Wal-Mart, asking for parents to donate just isn’t going to work. I could get a few items that way, but many of my families, although eager to partner with me in their children’s education, simply can’t afford to help with monetary donations. My student are excited about science, and I want them to stay that way by giving them many great lab opportunities this year.
