  • High School Mental Health Tools

    Funded Aug 30, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom! Your donation has brought invaluable resources to help create a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for my students. When our supplies arrived—tissues, paper towels, Clorox wipes, air fresheners, and games like Uno and Jenga—my students immediately felt the difference. They could see that they were walking into a space where their well-being is prioritized.

These items are much more than basic supplies. The tissues, wipes, and air fresheners help keep our space clean and comfortable, making it a place where students feel safe and ready to learn. Uno and Jenga have already become favorite tools in our social-emotional learning activities, where students practice teamwork, patience, and problem-solving in a fun, engaging way. Seeing students connect and support each other through these games has been heartwarming and has already strengthened our classroom community.

As we move forward, these tools will continue to support our daily routines and group activities. They help students recognize that this classroom is a space for growth, understanding, and mutual respect—where everyone can feel at ease and focus on learning.

Thank you for helping us create a classroom environment where students feel valued and supported. Your kindness has made a world of difference!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fordyce

  • Critical Thinking and Engagement in a Social Studies Classroom

    Funded Aug 8, 2024

Thank you so much for funding our project! Your kindness has brought a world of excitement, color, and creativity into our classroom. The moment my students saw the new supplies—highlighters, pens, pencils, whiteboards, folders, the globe, maps, social studies posters, and even the fidget toys—they were thrilled! Their eyes lit up as they explored each item, and they immediately began brainstorming how to use these resources in fun and meaningful ways.

Since these materials arrived, we've been diving into hands-on activities that make learning come alive—our first project with the new supplies focused on world geography. Students learned about continents, countries, and cultures using the globe and maps. They marked locations with their highlighters and used whiteboards to quiz each other on material and non-material culture. The social studies posters around the room help reinforce key concepts, making the classroom feel like a true exploration hub.

The fidget toys have also been a big hit, helping students focus and stay calm during lessons, especially those who benefit from sensory support. These small additions make a huge difference in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment.

Your contribution has truly transformed our classroom, creating an environment where curiosity and creativity can thrive. Thank you for being such an essential part of our journey!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fordyce
