Scrumdiddlyumptious Spring Musical Willy Wonka Jr
Funded Mar 20, 2023Students are using all resources that were sponsored by donors by learning how to apply SFX makeup skills, costuming and technical theatre dealing with sound. The microphones, makeup and clothing racks are an essential part to our program because we are a Performing and Visual Arts School, and we did not have reliable microphones or clothing racks up until now. This donation was not only a success for our Spring Musical production, but we now have access to them for all of productions, and inside the classroom. Students were taught the correct way on how to properly handle and take care of the microphones, change batteries, the proper way to turn the mic on and off, and the proper way to put them away. Students learned how to hang and sort their own costumes before and after the show.
When the students first saw the materials, they were extremely excited and grateful that we have so many people that want to see them succeed in everything that they do. Soe donors even came to support students in their spring musical which was extremely exciting for many of them. The next for students is preparing for our next big spring musical, utilizing all materials that were contributed to our project such as the lapel microphones, clothing racks, and makeup. Students will soon be working on SFX makeup for Halloween, and they are super excited that everyone can participate in this extremely fun project-based learning experience. We are extremely excited and grateful for all of our supportive donors.”

Spring Musical Willy Wonka Jr
Funded Feb 9, 2023My students and I are extremely grateful for having a brand-new set of lapel microphones. These microphones are an essential part to our program because we are a Performing and Visual Arts School, and we did not have reliable microphones up until now. This donation was not only a success for our Spring Musical production, but we now have access to them for all of productions. Students were taught the correct way on how to properly handle and take care of the microphones, change batteries, the proper way to turn the mic on and off, and the proper way to put them away.
What is most exciting about the project for my students is that they could actually hear everything that I had been going over in rehearsals when it comes to articulating their words. They also loved the way their characters came to life with just a microphone being added, it built a lot of confidence in all of students that was a part of the spring production, many who are first time performers. This project has helped really bring out inner talent that some of my students didn't know they had. This project has set the bar and has gotten all of my students excited for the upcoming spring production.”

Funded Aug 30, 2022My students and I are extremely grateful for all the sponsorship that went towards our classroom. All of students from grade k-8 were extremely happy and excited to work with designated materials that were purchased for them. My middle school scholars have been hard at work learning about Theatre resumes and headshots and the importance of it. Students were able to use the LED Ring stand lights that helped with leaning the lighting effect of headshots and how it either enhances or hinders the professionalism of a headshot resume. Thank you on behalf of my students and myself, we are forever grateful for all contributions to our classroom!!”
