Colorful Restock
Funded Apr 6, 2023My students are using the new resources in multiple ways. They use the crayons to make their work on the the boards colorful. Such as, coloring their "All About Me" shirts and using the scissors to cut them out. My students use the highlighters to underline keywords when they're reading, and they use their expo markers on their dry erase boards to complete math equations.
My students smiled when they saw the materials and stated how lucky they were to receive so many cool resources.
My next steps for my students are for them to continue to highlight important information in the text, color their work for it to stand out, and display their knowledge in more bright ways.”

Tech, Tech, and Away!
Funded May 12, 2023The technology has helped my students to access RAZ kids and read online, use Lalilo for phonics and Reflex for math. These are apps that they use daily in the classroom.
The most exciting thing about it is that it's easier to use than the Chromebook. It is lighter, faster, and has a touchscreen.
All of my students have warmed to this technology but because there is only one tablet they are all not able to utilize it. The students that have been able to use it love the touchscreen capabilities.”

Funded Jan 28, 2023Thank you, for assisting me and my class with the organization and structure of our classroom. Your help has allowed us to label and store tools for multiple subjects, which has allowed my students to easily access them throughout the day.
When my students first saw the materials, they smiled and said that they look real nice. Also, that they match our room.
The next steps are to prepare my classroom for next school year by using the labels and containers to store our materials safely and efficiently.”

Calling All MAthletes!
Funded Dec 15, 2022In our classroom, I was able to utilize technology to retrieve the teacher pay teacher gift cards to purchase math worksheets online for my students.
My students were excited to see math being presented with an Easter theme. I purchased an Easter packet for them that consists of geometry that reflects the information they need to know for the New York State math exam. It also included a page for them to write book reviews and my students wrote about math books. Another worksheet consisted of task cards that my students were able to use to help them pass their quizzes.
My students have warmed to math being presented in a fun way and displaying their understanding in a new way. Thank you!”

They have been voting on hot chocolate for our winter month celebrations and they're looking forward to the warmer months for the snow cones and cotton candy. My students love that they can have their hot chocolate with froth.

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Classroom Supporter.Wind, Water, Ice!
Funded Aug 28, 2022The ice maker and the electric kettle has helped my students learn about the water cycle. They were able to see first hand the process of the water cycle through the water going into the kettle and the steam coming out. They were also able to see how the ice changed form from solid to liquid.
The most exciting thing about the new product is that my students were able to see the water cycle being created in front of their eyes.
There are students that have especially warmed to this new technology because they did not know that a kettle can be plugged in and there are machines that make ice.”

Funded Nov 23, 2022My students used the water to drink at their desks. When multiple students asked to go get water during instruction, they were excited to realize that they were able to acquire a water bottle in the classroom. They have also been enjoying their favorite snacks at their desks to keep them energized throughout the lesson.
When the students first saw the materials, they stated, "We're having a party!" I told my students that the treats weren't for a party, but daily use to give them a little boost that they may need during the day. They all stated that they needed a boost, and the supplies were there for them.
The next steps for my students are to continue receiving boosts in the form of snacks as needed.”

A Group Of Art!
Funded Aug 30, 2022Me and my students are using the confetti pocket charts to display their high frequency words. Their work has been displayed around the room on the confetti paper to celebrate them daily. I have also utilized the group management pocket charts to assist my students with identifying what groups they belong to.
My students reacted with excitement when they first saw the materials. They stated, "I like how it's like a party everywhere you look in here." I responded by telling them that the classroom was designed to celebrate them and their work.
The next steps for my students are to celebrate their upcoming personal narratives by putting it on the confetti paper.”

Funded Aug 25, 2022The microwave has helped to warm up lunches for my students with allergies. The refrigerator has kept drinks cold and ice cream frozen.
The most exciting thing for my students is that they get to celebrate their success with treats that they love.
The students have warmed to the refrigerator by working harder to receive the refrigerated items. I have noticed with this form of token reinforcement
that my students smile when they get their juice boxes in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon.”
