  • STEAM Activities to Develop Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills

    In behalf of my students, we would like to thank you for supporting our project that makes every STEM Club meeting full of fun and engaging.

    Students created and customized balloon-powered cars and compete on whoever is the farthest. In another meeting we played math bingo and they practiced critical thinking in solving math problems. Another meeting we played SMATHS which made them used their skills in solving equations.

    The students were excited every time we meet that they can use their previous knowledge and connect them into competitions, and hands-on games that involves maths.

    Last Dec. 14, 2023, we celebrated 175th day of school, the school highlighted the different club activities and we had an opportunity to share our resources to the entire school. Sharing the resources school-wide for other students to enjoy will be our plan.”

  • Actively Engaged Math Small Groups

    I would like to THANK YOU for responding to my students need by providing them rolling vertical whiteboards where they can express themselves safely. Now my students are actively engaged in small group discussions, they developed confidence to share what they know to every random group that they've assigned to. They feel safe to talk to a small group and learn from each other. They help each other to some some fun or challenging math problems. They all are given opportunities to share their knowledge and contribute to the small group. They also learn from every group as we lesson synthesize as a whole class. I love to see my students laughing and their eyes shining while doing math. All this happened because of all the DONORS like YOU who believe in motivating our youths to persevere, and succeed in math classrooms. In behalf of my students, We appreciate your support!”
