Funded Mar 13, 2023The ability to run my STEM Club with the tablets more efficiently, has been amazing! Students don't have to wait as long to play with a robot as they did before when I had to use my cell phone or hope that their chromebooks would hook up to a robot. They have been able to move around the classroom a lot better with the tablets than with chromebook, when the chromebooks would sync to a robot more than a few seconds. The books, they loved!!! My 5th grade class at the end of last year thought they made great end of the year gifts, my summer school class, and my 6th graders this this year think that they make great classroom picks to read from. Thank you all so much for your help!!!”

Summer School and STEAM Projects
Funded Apr 6, 2023The STEAM / Summer school items have had a GREAT impact on me being able to run my classroom smoothly. It has allowed me to have materials readily available to me when a project need to be done. The materials stretched from the end of last school year for my 5th graders (they used A LOT), summer school, and the beginning of this school year of my 6 graders for Science and for my STEM / STEAM Club that I host after school, this school year foe my 6th graders. I am so very grateful for everyone's generosity. Thank you all do much for blessing me and my students with these items for us to be creative.”

Funded Feb 8, 2023I want to let you know how thankful my class and I are as well as my coworkers for this project being funded. There's no project per say with this DonorsChoose. This was a community closet restock. I was getting materials with my own money and I have had family and friends from my social media pages that graciously donated to the closet as well but with so many students the items were leaving faster than we could stock. This DonorsChoose has allowed for items to be stocked and used for a longer period of time. It is now April and we have a little less than half the items left which has been a GREAT GREAT thing that the items haven't left faster than we could give. Students are happy and appreciative that when they need something, they can go get it from the Community Care Closet without having to ask. They only take what they need, but they know where they can go to get those needs met. They were so excited to see the items come in. My heart was so full. My coworkers know that they can continue to send students to my class to grab items and when I'm not in my room they know how to reach me to get into my room to grab items needed. The next steps for this project is to continue to pour into it since it is an ongoing project, whether that means making another DonorsChoose project, asking for donations on my social media outlets, or buying the items myself. Again, thank you so so very much for your help. I am forever grateful.”

Funded Sep 20, 2022My class is loving the tablets!! So many of them expressed how they wanted to learn how to code and use the Dash and Dot robots, as well as he Ozobot and this has help tremendously! At the beginning of the year we were able to rent an EV3 robot and we were very excited but things were hard because we only had one tablet to run all of these devices. STEM Friday aka Fun Friday has been so much better and smoother for students to rotate through the stations with more tablets. I have some students who don't own computers or tablets, so this has been a fun learning experience for them to not only learn the programs that run the tablets but also to learn how to operate a tablet. Be on the look out for another project from us. Thank you so very much for your donation!! We are forever grateful for all of you!!”
