Funded Sep 6, 2023This year moving up to 6th grade has been hard and a different sort of change. This project has made a world of difference in a great way in transitioning over. I have no little to no shelving in this classroom as they want the Science Lab / Science classroom to be as open as possible, the two smaller shelves and all of the organizing totes have been amazing!!! I'm able to lay out experiments in a more effective way by class. The trays have been awesome as well in keeping experiments from being extremely messy, making cleanup easier between each class. Organization in science and STEM Club are extremely important and this definitely has help in tremendous ways that I didn't even realized that I needed. I'm learning that 5th grade science is very different than 6th grade science, especially in the area of experiments. There are a lot more experiments in 6th grade than in 5th grade, which means a lot more materials that I receive from the curriculum department, but means materials need to stay together and organized. Same with the STEM Club. When teaching 5th grade, I was allowed a Maker's Space and a few robots, so I didn't need as much space, this year, I'm running a whole club this year and those also have to be organized in the same space, in my classroom. I know I keep repeating myself, but I'm very grateful for this project. Thank you!!”
With gratitude,
