My students are 14-18 year old immigrants who have all recently arrived in the United States and are navigating a new country, city, culture, and school! They come to class each day with inspiring motivation and enthusiasm ready to learn English and work together. With more than 6 languages and over 12 countries represented in our classes, we are lucky to be able to learn so much about the world from each other! I am honored to work with such a truly a special group of young people. Through my projects on Donorschoose I hope to turn my classroom into an environment that truly welcomes them and is rich with the supports they deserve.
