Funded Jun 30, 2022Thank you for giving a voice to my non-verbal students within the autistic spectrum syndrome, these materials have been of huge support for communicating their needs, identifying common objects at school and at home, making choices as well as learning the sign language of basic words such as: I want, give me, I like, thank you, tired, hungry. By improving his communication, frustration has decreased and adaptation to the classroom routine has substantially improved. You have significantly contributed so that my students receive an adequate education with inclusion and equity.
When we started the plan for the students to learn to express their basic needs, they responded with astonishment and joy, as if the concepts were already abstract in their minds and they only needed the tools to express them, their faces say it all!
We will continue to work hard on improving students' communication for them to achieve their individual goals, our next step will be to encourage communication with their peers to develop pragmatic communication and social skills. Since we received your generous contribution, my lesson plan includes these valuable materials. Consistency and teamwork are the key.”
With gratitude,
Ms. G. Fraire
