Super Mario Stars
Funded Jun 27, 2024Thank you so much for being a part of this great group of people coming together to support and encourage the incredible growth taking place in my therapy room. Every day as educators we push ourselves to learn more about how to support students with various needs and these materials being brought into my therapy room are so essential in assisting me trying to support all of my students. These therapy tools will especially help my students who struggle with visual perceptual skills. You are showing my students that so many people care about their education and want them to succeed. Thank you for making all of this possible!”

Minecraft mOTivation
Funded May 8, 2024The resources you provided for my students and I have made a great impact. I use the Minecraft Maths Ages 6-7: Official Workbook, Writing for Minecrafters: Grade 2, Handwriting for Minecrafters: Printing, The Official Minecraft Coloring Adventures Book, and LEGO Minecraft with my students to foster intrinsic motivation to perform the tasks during occupational therapy sessions; These materials allow my sessions to be more effective and therapeutic. My students were excited when they first saw and used these materials. The next step for my students with these materials is to develop the visual motor, visual perceptual, fine motor, executive functioning, and motor coordination skills required to participate in meaningful/purposeful activities in their school environment.”

Funded Jan 29, 2024The resources you provided for my students and I have made a great impact. The dysgraphia writing paper, various dysgraphia activity workbooks, social skills workbook, behavioral skills workbook, executive functioning skills workbook, fidget spinner, brain training for kids with ADHD workbook, and a math workbook for kids with Dyscalculia provide my students with activities that are conducive to how their brains process information. These materials allow my sessions to be more effective and therapeutic. Since I began using these materials, many of my students are less apprehensive to perform writing and math tasks which address working memory, visual motor, and fine motor skills. My students were excited when they first engaged with these workbooks because they felt the activities were providing them a fun challenge. The next step for my students that utilize the Power in Neuro-diverse Learning materials is to have them take the strategies they learn in session and use them in the classroom to participate in meaningful/purposeful activities in their school environment.”

Funded Dec 7, 2023The resources you provided for my students and I have made a great impact. My students use the blackout tent, weighted blanket, interlocking area rug floor tiles, and beanbag chair to provide the sensory input their bodies need to reorganize their nervous system in order to perform the tasks during occupational therapy sessions; These materials allow my sessions to be more effective and therapeutic. Since building the sensory space in my therapy room, many of my students have climbed into the sensory tent, layed down, and placed the weighted blanket on themselves for 5 minutes prior to engaging in purposeful/meaningful activities for the remainder of the session. My students were excited to see the sensory space/cozy corner in my therapy room because each of their classrooms have one and now finally my therapy room has one as well. The next step for my students with the sensory space is to gradually phase out of using it when they are in upper grades and develop the vocabulary needed to advocate for more mature methods of sensory input to reorganize their nervous system to participate in meaningful/purposeful activities.”
