Funded Aug 9, 2022Snap Circuits have enhanced the 4th grade science curriculum allowing the students to explore energy and electricity in a hands-on way! As we've studied energy transformation, students built circuits to demonstrate electric energy transforming into light, sound, and motion. The students were always eager to try new circuits and have especially enjoyed creating flying saucers and making music with the materials.
Problem-solving skills were also on full display while experimenting with Snap Circuits. As students followed the diagrams to build and create, they were able to troubleshoot non-functioning designs to find a working solution. It has been great to see them follow the diagram to build a circuit, test the design, revise their thinking when necessary, and demonstrate perseverance while working through the design process!
I'd like to extend a special thank-you to the donors who helped the Snap Circuit project become fully funded for the fourth grade students at Crafton Elementary School! Over the past several weeks, circuit-building has become a favorite classroom activity!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Monaghan
