  • Fostering Creativity Through Lego Bricks

    Funded May 22, 2024

Thank you so much for donating the Legos to our classroom. When I told my students Legos were donated they were all so excited and ready to earn the free day to be able to build with them.

My students absolutely loved building with the Legos. We did a collaborative projects with my tables. Each table took the inspiration photo differently and created completely different sculptures.

The Legos allowed my students to build collaboratively. Each contributing their own ideas within the group. They giggled and made suggestions for each other! It was an awesome day and I can't wait to do it again.”

  • Turn in Bins and Markers!

    Funded Aug 16, 2024

Thank you so much for donating these items to our classroom. It has made the start of the year much easier. Students love the new marker cart specifically because the drawers aren't broken like our last one. They love the ease of finding the markers they need and being able to grab and go.

We haven't used the turn in bins as much since the school year has barely started and we are just finishing up the first project. However, when I showed the students the new bins compared with the old missed matched ones they loved it. We appreciate everything you have done thanks again.”

  • Increasing Productivity through Hearing

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thank you so much for donating the earbuds and the noise cancelling headphones.

My resource students have benefited greatly from having the noise cancelling headphones when they get overstimulated. They have been able to use the headphones and be able to work peacefully on their project without the distraction of others.

The earbuds have been a great addition to our classroom. Many of my students excel when they are able to pop in earbuds and listen to music. For a lot of them it is another way to block out other distractions and focus on the work at hand.”

  • Organizing the Art

    Funded Apr 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in donating to our classroom. Students have a safe place to house their folders and keep their artwork safe. They were so excited to be able to use these resources.

The other thing was the wiggle seats many of my students have been able to learn so much more smoothly because of them. These students tend to struggle sitting in a normal seat so the wiggle seats have helped them be able to focus their attention on learning and getting their work done. I would love to have more of these seats or flexible seating donated in the future to help even more students.”

  • Escape Into Art

    Funded Oct 17, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! Technology is sometimes hard to incorporate into art projects and art lessons. Since it is so hands on, we wanted something that kids would enjoy while learning about the elements and principles of art.

Each group got to work together to make it through the escape room. It was used to not only learn about art, but also develop teamwork and problem solving. Students enjoyed solving the puzzles and figuring out the locks for each element.

You have blessed our students by giving them this opportunity. I believe this has created skills they will be able to use for the rest of their lives.”

  • Finger Knitting and Beyond

    Funded Aug 17, 2022

My students will be using the materials you provided next semester. We will be making finger knitted creations. I have done this project in the past and the students loved it so much they continue to finger knit to this day.

When I was putting the materials in storage, the students kept asking do we get to do a project with those? and Please tell me we get to use those to create a sculpture. To say the least they are excited for when we get to this project.

My students are currently working on a collage which is a preparation for the finger knitting project. We are excited to get started on finger knitting and seeing the impact of textile art in their lives.”
