Financial Literacy Through School Store
Funded Sep 29, 2023Thank you so much for your generous contributions. Our school is promoting a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. PBIS is used to improve student behavioral outcomes, build a more positive school climate and culture for the entire school community, improve/support our classroom management, and provide a multi-tiered operational framework for achieving positive outcomes for all students. It consists of a clear set of positively and broadly stated school-wide expectations that are observable, actionable, and teachable!
With your help, my students were able to continue working hard to reach their goals. My students love to work to earn prizes. The items purchased were used for a reward shop, where they used the points that they earned during the week. The students received a bank book that keeps track of the points they earned for positive behavior. The students visit the reward shop and the end of the week. Here they look at the prices of different items and provide a real-world shopping experience. They are also able to work on their math skills!”

Board Games to Improve Positive Behavior
Funded May 6, 2022Thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to work on social skills and positive behaviors through the use of board games in school and at home. Many of our student have not played some of the games so they were really excited to get started. There may even be a monopoly tournament in our future! They have learned turn taking, following directions and life skills. The board games have allowed our students to continue to work on conversational skills with their peers. Thank you all for such amazing games that truly made our students so happy!!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Alyssa
