De-fronting the Classroom
Funded Oct 11, 2022The small whiteboards are a great hit with students! They love writing their opinions, answering questions, and voting with the use of the boards and markers.
Student engagement in the classroom has gone up, and the whiteboards also had an unintended positive effect: the amount of graffiti on the desks has gone down to virtually zero! Students choose to doodle on the whiteboards instead, which is easy to erase and clean.

Funded Aug 9, 2022As the school year comes to a close, I cannot thank you enough for making our classroom library dream a reality.
My students have gone on to read powerful and engaging titles, including graphic novels, chapter books, and informational non-fiction.
The student engagement with books in my classroom increased this year. Many of my students requested to take the books home with them over weekend and holiday breaks.
Our writing community in the classroom has also gone stronger as our reading volume has increased.
