  • Print and Publish!

    Funded Sep 3, 2024

Thank you so much for the addition of a color printer in our classroom! It has truly been a wonderful resource, allowing us to showcase student work in vibrant, eye-catching detail. The students especially enjoy seeing their published texts in color, which makes their efforts feel even more meaningful and professional. At the end of the school year, students will be creating a compilation of all their written pieces and turning it into a final book, which I know they will be proud to share. This printer has played a crucial role in making that vision come to life, and we are deeply appreciative of this generous addition to our classroom.”

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom library. My intention was to add popular books that students were eager to read as well as non-fiction biographies about interesting people. The books are absolutely beautiful!

Our days start with calm, soothing music playing in the background as students read their books silently. Students come to class eager to learn about a new person and share 1 interesting fact with their peers. My struggling readers look forward to reading Dogman books, and they feel proud when they finish a book. The Dork Diaries series is also very popular. Soon, I will have a few students ready to dive into Harry Potter's world. Thank you once again for helping me instill the love of books with my students.”

  • "Building" Creative Minds One Tile at a Time

    Funded Dec 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your incredible generosity. My students were super excited to see the addition of Magna-Tiles in our classroom! The first time they were able to use them was during indoor recess on a rainy day. Magna-Tiles provided an easy to set up creative work station. Magna-Tiles have allowed my students to work collaboratively and creatively during free time. It is amazing to see students' end products and the pride they demonstrate when they are finished building something. It is wonderful to see all students having a good time as they build and bond at the same time. It is donors like yourselves who make a big difference in children's educational experiences.”

  • Creating Life-long Readers through Literature!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

I am truly grateful for your generous donation. The look on my students' faces was priceless as I opened the large boxes containing 2 brand new class sets of books. We were in the middle of studying a unit about California Native Americans, and my students couldn't wait to begin reading Island of the Blue Dolphins!

My students were not disappointed. They were hooked after reading the first chapter. My little Rivera eagles were transported back in time and came to love Karana and Rontu. As we read the novel, we discussed various themes such as forgiveness, trust, friendship, and moral development. My students also learned about character traits and how to make predictions based on evidence. We even integrated math and learned how to graph using an XY coordinate grid.

Our second set of novels, Holes, will be used later on in the school year. It is a lighter, funnier read, but it also touches on some very important themes that lead to excellent classroom discussions. I am sure my students will love this book, too. I am excited to be able to continue using these class sets for years to come!”

  • An Apple a Day...

    Funded May 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Having up to date technology in the classroom makes it easier for students to learn and explore new applications and programs. When afforded the opportunity, students will will rise up to the challenge and use technology to demonstrate what they have learned.

Using technology in the classroom makes learning more engaging and collaborative. Students love to record themselves reciting poems, reading stories, and creating slideshows that they can share with their peers.

Shy students who may not like standing up in front of the class, benefit from having the technology needed to present their work in a more relaxed manner. Again, thank you so much for contributing to my students' education!”

    With gratitude,
