Making the Classroom More Engaging and Exciting!
Funded Nov 14, 2024I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your generous donation to my Donors Choose project. Your support has truly made a difference in the classroom, and I'm excited to share the impact it has had on my students.
The math games have provided such a fun and engaging way for students to practice their skills. It's been incredible to watch them come alive during lessons, finding joy in applying math concepts through play. They look forward to these activities when they visit my classroom!
Additionally, the Teacher's Pay Teachers gift cards have been a game-changer, allowing me to incorporate various projects that blend math and art. This has sparked even more creativity and excitement in my students as they connect these subjects in meaningful ways. They are loving the hands-on, interdisciplinary projects, and it's been amazing to see them so engaged.
The additional manipulatives have also been incredibly helpful in supporting students who are struggling to grasp certain concepts. Because these tools are interactive, students have been able to learn math in a hands-on, tangible way, making complex ideas much easier to understand. It's been a joy to see their confidence grow as they work through problems with these resources.
Once again, thank you for your incredible generosity. Your support has made a lasting impact on my students' learning experience, and I am so grateful for it.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Pavese

Funded May 27, 2023Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom! My students were so excited to see the new materials come in and wasted no time diving into reading all the new books we received! Just recently, I had a student find a book about the amazing Temple Grandin from the "She Persisted" series as well as a social-emotional book about Temple Grandin geared toward better understanding others with disabilities. The student was very excited to learn about Temple and how her differences are her strength. This student was amazed by what she learned and it was rewarding to see a student broadening their horizons and understanding of others.
Having an efficient computer has allowed me to be strategic in my planning. I have been able to create effective PowerPoint presentations to use for lessons in all content areas (including English language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, and more)! I make it a priority to make every lesson interesting and engaging for the students; the computer has allowed me to do that! I've been able to reach more of my students through scaffolding and differentiation with various digital resources as well! Last but not least, it has allowed me to strategically provide instruction on digital citizenship, coding, and typing!
The calendar pocket chart has allowed me to hang a neat and organized calendar in the classroom for students to look at and reinforces the monthly view of the calendar. It allows me to post what our month looks like with special events as well as holidays. The math game has been a great way for students to get more excited about practicing what they know about fractions. It has also been a great way to support the students who struggle with fractions to get more interested in practicing them!”

Funded Sep 20, 2022Words can not express how much your donation means to my current and future students. Students were beyond excited as they saw the new items come into our classroom. They looked with eyes wide open and had so many questions about when they would get to use all of the new items!
One of the biggest impacts has been the ability to easily pull small groups and have the students seated comfortably on the floor while I use the portable whiteboard to work with them.
My students have had a great time celebrating their birthdays with a nice crowns on their heads. They have enjoyed drawing pictures on the rainbow scratch pads and sharing them with their classmates.
The word family flip books have helped students that are newly acquiring the English language and helped them to feel excited to learn and confident in their progress!
In art, I plan to have students use the suncatcher kit that was purchased in the spring and bring it home to share with their families. I also plan to begin to have students teach their own "mini-lesson" using the portable whiteboard!
We are so excited to use and explore the items we have not gotten to yet!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Pavese
