Funded May 8, 2022Thank you very much for donating the valuable resources for teaching the Holocaust. This has been a significant and meaningful learning experience. Students read, analyze, discussed chapter readings and answered reading comprehension questions by citing evidence, details and examples from the text to support their responses. Students learned vocabulary words by identifying context clues, understanding synonyms and antonyms and using the new words in complete sentences.
Students made text to world connections to what is happening today in our society. We need to bring awareness, tolerance and understanding of all races. We need to put an end to anti-Semitic rhetoric and perspectives.
The students enjoyed reading about The Diary of Anne Frank and how she persevered through challenges and difficulties she experienced in her short life.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Luci
