• Ink-credible Second Graders!

  My second graders and I are extremely grateful for your generous donation! Now that our class printer has ink, I am able to collaborate with my grade level and print out student resources, activities, and student work to make our lessons more hands on and engaging. My students especially enjoy doing "Walk the Room" activities to solve problems with their partners. In addition, our pencil sharpener is exactly what we needed! It gets used multiple times a day to ensure that students always have a writing tool!

  The mesh pouches have also been very helpful to organize our counting collections! Every week students can pick a new pouch and count the items inside with their partner, which helps develop their number sense and math fluency.”

• Eyes on the Prize!

  I want to sincerely thank you for your generous donation! Your contribution has been able to provide us with headphones, which are a game changer! In order to be 21st century learners, we incorporate technology into our lessons and our headphones help students be able to simultaneously use their iPads and engage in activities such as iReady, Amplify, Book Creator, and EPIC Reading!

  In addition, your donations have provided my class with a variety of toys and incentives for our prize box. At the end of the month, my students look forward to spending their class currency that they earn with good behavior and completing their work!”

• Eco Kids!

  Your donations contributed to expanding our classroom library to include books that cover themes such as conservation and ways to reduce our carbon footprint and care for the environment. We were also able to learn of ways to actively apply what they have learned by decorating reusable totes that they can use when they go to the grocery stores with their families. I strongly believe that it is important to talk about these themes not just on Earth Day, but everyday because we only have one Earth and so we need to take care of it!”

• Staying Sharp

  Thank you so much for your generous donations that have provided my students with important and necessary materials such as a sturdy pencil sharpener, book bins, and headphones.

  My students were over the moon when I revealed our new pencil sharpener! Long gone are the days of using an old manual sharpener or students using crayons to do their work because they could not find a sharpened pencil! Secondly, the new headphones have been a game-changer, especially during small-group time. Not only am I am to work with students who need extra support with phonics or fluency, the rest of the class can work independently on their iPads without disturbing others.

  Lastly, the bins have helped me keep our math materials organized and more easily accessible for my students. It has made it so easy to store our mini clocks, dice, and other math manipulatives.”

• Help A First-Year Teacher Build A Classroom That Fosters Learning

  Thank you once again for your generous support and contribution to making my second grade dual-immersion classroom a brighter place. The addition of a colored printer has made printing resources more accessible for myself and my students.

  My students have greatly enjoyed the colorful rug! It was the perfect addition to our library corner, which makes it a much more inviting space for students to sit down and grab a book to read.

  Lastly, the rolling cart has made working with small groups more seamless. I love how spacious it is, which allows me to store and organize my copies and tools.”
