Classroom Closet Organization

Thank you so much for your enormous generosity in supporting my classroom!

Thanks to you all, we now have a fully functioning supply closet! This has created a space for us to start to organize and store back-stock of art materials and cleaning supplies.

My students remembered what the closet looked like before we began (originally filled with old furniture, then empty and very dusty) and were so impressed with the upgrade! It was satisfying to see their faces and hear them commenting on how clean and organized it was; it will be a user-friendly space from here on out and a little pocket of zen for me.

The measuring tapes that were included in my project were put straight to use as 11th grade students worked on constructing and installing their holiday window displays, which honored Radio City Music Hall as the iconic NYC institution celebrated its 90th anniversary in December. Students had been using soft measuring tapes (really meant for the fashion design students in our building) and you can imagine how much more efficient and effective it is for them to have proper measuring tapes!

Again, we are so grateful for your support and generosity. We look forward to using our new closet space and materials with pride and maintaining the space and materials for the benefit of future projects and future classes. Yours are gifts which will certainly keep on giving.”
