Flow Forward: Empowering Students with Essential Care
Funded Mar 20, 2025On behalf of GHS students, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of feminine hygiene products. Your support ensures that students have access to essential supplies, helping them feel confident, comfortable, and focused on learning without unnecessary barriers.
Lack of access to these products can lead to missed class time and unnecessary stress. Thanks to your kindness, students can stay engaged in their education without worrying about basic needs. Your generosity is making a real difference in their lives.
Thank you for being a champion for our students and their well-being!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Harris

Funded Sep 11, 2024The Social Emotional Learning (SEL) materials that I received, like fidget items, positive affirmation cards, and bracelets, have substantially impacted GHS students' development of self-awareness and empathy. Fidget items helped students manage their stress, anxiety, and restlessness, promoting better focus and grounding them in the present moment. By providing a sensory outlet, these tools allow students to regulate emotions and channel their energy constructively. In turn, this self-regulation leads to increased self-awareness, as students become more attuned to their emotions and understand how to handle challenging situations without feeling overwhelmed.
Positive affirmation cards serve as a powerful reinforcement of self-worth and motivation. Receiving or choosing a positive message, such as "You are capable" or "Your voice matters," encouraged students to reflect on their strengths and recognize their value. These affirmations help reshape their self-perception, fostering a positive inner dialogue. As students gain confidence and resilience, they are better able to relate to others, which nurtures empathy. When students feel good about themselves, they're more likely to express kindness and understanding toward their peers, fostering a supportive school environment.
Bracelets with encouraging words or symbols, often worn daily, act as subtle reminders of positive behaviors and attitudes. Wearing these bracelets helps students internalize values like compassion, respect, or courage, which can inspire mindful interactions with others. These tools have helped create a tangible sense of community and shared purpose. This approach supports not only individual growth but also encourages a culture of empathy, where students can practice and model respectful, supportive relationships, benefiting the entire school climate.”
