    Thank you so much for funding my project! I have enjoyed watching my students love of reading grow. They love this book and were so excited to be able to have their own brand new copy to read along with me. This book is amazing! I love how it teaches that people deserve a second chance and people can change even if it seems unlikely.

    We are also using this book to incorporate into our writing. Each student is now writing a summary of the book. Having the book in hand, makes it so much easier for them to go back and find supporting details.

    Thank you so much for funding my project! I have enjoyed watching my students love of reading grow. They were so excited to be able to have their own brand new copy to read. They read in school, at home and couldn't wait to read the next chapter in school the next day.

    We were able to have the author, Rob Buyea, come in for a visit. My students loved discussing their favorite characters and favorite parts with him. He was funny and made them want to read more of his books.

    We also used this book to incorporate into our writing. Each student chose a character and three character traits for their informational essay. Having the book in hand, made it much easier to find the parts in their story they wanted to write about and the quotes to support their writing. Many students came up and shared their essays. They were amazing!
