Funded May 13, 2024I am sincerely grateful for your generous support of our project, "A Creative Journey to Protect Florida's Wildlife." Your contributions are instrumental in shaping the educational experiences of over 200 elementary students, allowing them to delve into creativity while learning about endangered species in the Florida Everglades.
Thanks to your generosity, we can provide essential materials like plaster wrap and a dedicated drying rack, creating an environment where artistic expression flourishes. Together, we are nurturing the next generation of environmental advocates and creative thinkers.
Your kindness and support mean the world to us.”

Priceless Printing at Our School
Funded May 8, 2023Receiving a color printer for our classroom at Kelsey Pharr Elementary was a game changer and has had a profound impact on both my teaching and my student's learning experiences. The introduction of color visuals into the classroom opened up a vibrant and dynamic dimension into my lessons. Visual aids are known to be incredibly effective in enhancing the learning process for children, and are especially effective with my ELL students who are working hard to learn and practice English. These resources have stimulated engagement and creativity, and helped students visit parts of the world they may never have seen before. With the new printer I have been able to effortlessly produce high-quality color prints of famous artworks, visual references and have been able to print out a series of images to help students imagine future careers in the arts.
The color printer has also enabled me to adapt quickly to the needs of the learners in my classroom. As every child enters the room with different abilities, I have been able to generate visual resources on demand and put these tools directly into the hands of my students. This has enabled me to make my classroom a much more inclusive space, tailored to the needs of my learning. Whether it has been printing out step by step instructions or tools to help my students hone their fine motor skills, I have been able to do it all, thanks to your very generous donation.
Thank you for helping to nurture the students in my classroom and help me provide the best opportunities for their success.”

Funded Nov 29, 2022We are so grateful for your generous donation. You have truly made an impact on the students at Kelsey Pharr Elementary School. Your donation has given students an opportunity to work with clay in spite of not having a kiln at our school, allowing our kids to keep up with their peers at other schools. The students often describe the clay as relaxing and really look forward to projects when we have the opportunity to use it. Our favorite project so far has been pinch pots made with 2nd grade, when students turned their pinch pot creations into hearts and later some students began to sculpt small turtles and create mini terrariums inside their pinch pots.
I can't wait to keep challenging these children to find their most authentic creative selves, and am so grateful to a community that supports our drive to do so. You are our heroes and we thank you!”

Funded Sep 3, 2022We wanted to thank you for your incredible contribution to our classroom. The students have really enjoyed getting their hands messy with paint, and have begun to learn and understand some really incredible concepts!
The students were overjoyed when I told them that we would be beginning painting, and were all clamoring to receive their set of watercolors. We have used them to create color wheels and learn about color theory, we have painted incredible marine life like jellyfish and seahorses, and we have explored the native animals of South Florida including the Monarch butterfly and the Great Blue Heron.
I'm thrilled to announce that because of your generous donation, we have had multiple students enter and be accepted into some juried art shows, giving these amazing students a chance to shine even outside our walls.
Thank you for helping them create unforgettable memories and contributing to our classroom!”

Funded Aug 8, 2022Students were overjoyed to have received the materials. The paint in particular was a huge hit for students, many of whom had no experience using acrylics before. Students lit up watching the UV reactive papers, and we discussed how the papers were equivilant to getting a sunburn outside. Being able to provide tangible points of connection for the students has been a great asset in building important STEAM connections. We will continue to use paint and explore different mediums in the classroom, and we will also continue to discuss sustainability and the unique treasures in our local environment. Thank you again for your generous contribution to the classroom which has made these projects possible.”

Funded May 2, 2022Thank you very much for your generous donation. Your support has made our class activities possible and my students couldn't have done it without you. Our students were able to participate in 5 county art contests, and we have had 3 artists selected to have their work displayed at the Miami International Museum and Niklaus Children Hospital.
The students are overjoyed at the brand new and beautiful materials, and couldn't believe it when they saw the boxes stacked on the tables. Our supplies have been used to teach students about the importance of pollinators and help design and create homes for bees. Students have celebrated Hispanic Heritage month by creating paintings of flags. We have also enjoyed creating collages, mixed media low relief art pieces and so much more.
This week, we are working on posters to encourage the community to get out and have their voices heard on November 8th for Election Day. We are also going to start diving into painting some of the incredible local flora and fauna with watercolors. We are so very grateful for your contributions to the students' success.”
