Cozy Classroom
Funded May 10, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations! We were able to start this school year with a new rug! My 5th graders are loving and appreciating this new addition to our classroom :)
The rug is an important part of our classroom. It provides a space for our scholars to collaborate with each other. In addition, the rug has been a favorite spot for students to get out of their seats and work independently.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you always for your support and kindness! The students have been expressing how much they love the rug and always asking if they can sit there during independent work time.

Funded Sep 18, 2023Thank you once again for your generous donations! My students have been loving using the gel pens to write and be creative! It has been super helpful during writer's workshops because they get to pick a color of their choice to make revisions on their writing! They have also been enjoying using the ultra fine point sharpies to outline their artworks!
In addition, the storage bins and mesh zipper pouch has been extremely helpful to keep everything organized in the classroom. The students use the mesh zipper pouches as their book bags. In addition, the storage bins have been used to organize our classroom library and store supplies in them.
Not only that, but the privacy boards have replaced broken ones we have been using. These boards are going to be extremely helpful once my students start taking their end of the year exams.
The electric pencil sharpeners have been a game changer in our classroom for it sharpens colored pencils. My students love to draw so being able to quickly sharpen their colored pencils have made them super excited! Last but not least, the twinkle lights have provided a calming classroom for the students. My students always ask me to turn off the lights to turn on the twinkle lights!

Cozy Classroom
Funded Aug 3, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation! My scholars have been loving the alternate lighting options. They ask to turn on the lamps instead of turning on the regular classroom lights! The alternate lighting helps to provide a calming environment for scholars - they have been able to focus better and get their work done. This has been an amazing addition to our classroom!
In addition, my scholars have been loving the flexible seating option we receive. That chair has been used to sit and read on. Not only that, but students love to complete their assignments while sitting on that chair.
Lastly, thanks to the ink donation, we have been able to print pictures of student's family to help make the classroom feel more at home. In addition, we have been printing out reading articles for students to read during independent reading time.

Funded Oct 24, 2022A color printer has been such an amazing addition to our classroom!
Thank you so much for your generous donations! The printer has provided my students with opportunities to type their work and have it printed out right away. It has also allowed for me to display their beautiful work around the classroom for all to see.
My students get super excited whenever they complete an assignment online because they can have it printed in color for all to see. In addition, I am able to print worksheets in colors for students to come up with more noticings and connect with the assignments more.
A color printer has also supported social-emotional learning in the classroom. I am able to fill our classroom walls with student's work samples and display inspirational pictures/words in colors.

Funded Sep 22, 2022The rug area is the heart of our classroom. Most of our days are spent learning and gathering at the rug. It is a safe space for students to feel comfortable and share their ideas.
My class and I truly want to thank you again for your generous donation! When the rug got delivered to the school, my students could not contain their excitement. They walked into the classroom with a huge smile on their face and rushed over to the rug. For the whole day and even now, my students ask if they can sit on the rug to read or complete assignments.
At the beginning of the year, some students prefer sitting at their desks instead of joining us at the rug for instruction. However, after the delivery of our new rug, everyone in my class started to find a spot and sit on the rug. This has tremendously helped with their engagement!
Thanks to donors like you, my students now and in the future have an area in the classroom where they can feel comfortable and safe. This rug has played and will continue to play a positive impact in my classroom. Again, thank you so much and Happy Holidays! :)”
