Sewing Skill Supplies
Funded May 8, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations to our sewing supplies! We needed a few extra items for summer school and the upcoming school year. All of these supplies have be put to great use and the students get so excited to be creative. Over the summer I hosted a sewing class for one week. Students were able to make whatever they wanted, as well as a beach bag out of a beach towel. We all had a great time! The supplies you helped contribute to made sure that they were able to be creative and work on their sewing skills with any material they needed.

Funded Apr 23, 2023Thank you for your donation to our paper products and hygiene project! We are so grateful to be starting off the year with a stock of paper towels, tissues, and disinfectant wipes. Many have already come in very handy!
All of our middle school classrooms have been able to provide any of these materials needed for students from your donation. It is always so helpful to not worry about running out of tissues, especially during winter! With many students playing sports, we are also often providing hair ties for those that forget them for practice or a game. Our students appreciate that anything they need is provided for them.

Knitting, Crocheting, and Stitching. Oh My!
Funded May 26, 2023Thank you so much for your donation to our knitting and crochet project! This year I will be able to offer a knitting and crochet elective thanks to you! While this class hasn't started yet, the students are excited for these new opportunities!
During my free time I am an avid knitting and just learned crochet in the past year. I can't wait to help pass on this hobby and share my passion with the students. We have many options for projects that we can start with the different types of needles and yarn we have available due to your donation. The students can't wait to get creating!

Sewing Superstars!
Funded May 26, 2023Thank you so much to your donation for our sewing project! We are so grateful to be able to provide experience to our middle school students through our elective options. While the class doesn't start for another couple weeks, I already have many students already asking about it and getting excited!
Sewing is a passion and hobby of mine and I can't wait to share it with these students. The sewing machines will help us learn how to make some beginner projects. They will also get to learn the skill of ironing during this course! We have also gotten some hand sewing projects such as embroidery and needlepoint. There are so many options just waiting to be explored!

Calm Corner Additions
Funded Jun 8, 2023Thank you so much for your donation to add to our classroom calm corner! We as a school have really worked hard on promoting mental health lessons and understanding. Our students have been learning about different emotions and the tools to help them regulate those emotions in order for them to be successful.
With the additions to my classroom space, I can help any student feel welcome and comforted by the fidgets provided, new seating options to take a break in, and amazing posters to help them visually. I really enjoy having the classroom space that is open to all students for what they need at any time. Your donation has helped provide that feeling!

Funded Apr 23, 2023We are so grateful to be able to provide snacks for students during school or to take on their way home. The students have enjoyed having the security of knowing there are snacks available to them if needed.
Often these snacks are helping students get through the school day, or have an after school snack if needed. By providing this nourishment, students are able to focus and perform better in the classroom. With middle school students, they are growing and changing and we are so happy to help provide this extra food.

School Store Supplies
Funded Dec 21, 2022Thank you for your generous donation to add exciting new things to our middle school store! This year has been so exciting to see students work hard in order to earn these incentives. They can't wait until it is the day that they get to go shopping.
They are really enjoyed the fun animals and fidgets that were purchased for them to keep as their own. We as teachers have enjoyed see them shop and use these new materials.

Sensory Additions
Funded Dec 21, 2022Your generous donation to our sensory and fidget project has been so helpful for our students! As you can see from the photos, my classroom now has a plethora of fidget options for any student to come and use. Students know that they can come to my room at any time and ask to borrow something. I have also been able to share this resource with other teachers as students need them.
The students have been very respectful of the materials and using them appropriately. They are always excited when they come in and see new items in the bins!”

Bean Bag Chairs for Reading Time
Funded Dec 21, 2022Thank you so much for your donation to my bean bag project! So far they have been a very big hit with our middle schoolers. They have been very respectful of the materials, as well as asking for permission to use them.
The students get so excited when they get to come to my room and sit in a comfortable bean bag chair and focus on their work. These chairs have helped students feel welcome and at home in school.

Calming Corner
Funded Oct 11, 2022The materials for my classroom calming corner have been a huge hit so far! They enjoy the cozy space to take a break or work quietly. They have been doing a great job at respecting the materials. The cushions and weighted lap blankets create a calm environment to help students feel comfortable. The sensory fidgets have been a great addition to help students release some energy.
All of the students were so excited when they saw the corner set up! I'm so excited that we had your donation to provide this space for our students!”
