  • Art, Art, and a Little Science

    We began exploring our new finger paints this quarter. The children were at first unsure that they were able to dig in and really move that paint around using only their hands. Once they figured it out, all my plans went out the door!

    I was hoping for some tasteful examples of color blending, but mostly we ended up with an unpleasant brown monotone.

    They didn't care.

    My rookie mistake was using colors that when completely blended, resulted in an unfortunate hurt.

    Our next foray into finger painting will involve using either all cool or all warm tones. I'm hoping the results with be more visually pleasing.
