Vibrant Learning
Funded Oct 10, 2022Thank you so much for the life you have added to my room! You have provided resources to make it easier for my students to follow along with what they are to do each day. We have been blessed to be able to have students listen to backgound information and instructional videos that go with reading assignments, and all students are now able to hear the sound clearly across the room. We also enjoy listening to music that helps drown out other noise so students can concentrate, as well as be soothed by music they enjoy. It makes the classroom environment much more enjoyable. Students are also able to see their projects in printed form to save for a remembrance to show their families and treasure their hard work.
Thank you for bringing more life into our classroom! You have made a great difference!”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by The Arizona Department of Education and 2 other donors.Travel Research Project
Funded Mar 19, 2022Most of my students were not born in the United States. Those who were not, are lucky if they are here with both of their parents and their siblings, but many are not. Other students are here with their families but are refugees. Each set of students has experienced unimaginable circumstances to be here. For some, the United States is an exciting change. For others, it has come with terrible loss of home, family, and culture.
This project allows students to use internet to research a location and learn about a culture that is not associated with pain, heartache, or loss. They get to explore the wonders of another country they have selected and become immersed in the beauty of a place they will never see, but will get to experience through researching the location, climate, foods, attractions, and customs of this country and create a slideshow to present to their peers.
Through your donation, students were able to see printed pictures of high academic vocabulary with photo examples to really define words like glistening, vibrant, majestic, colonial, spectacular, arid, verdant, and picturesque, so that they could accurately use them to describe their amazing locations. They were also able to have a printed copy of their presentations to take home and share with their families, giving them an opportunity to be experts about a location, and share that expertise with their peers and family, and have as a momento of a project well done. I was also better able to assist students as I could view their slideshows as they were working on them, give direct and immediate feedback on their assignments, and answer questions as I was able to move through the classroom, providing for much greater success in academic excellence. Thank you so much for assisting in providing this opportunity for my amazing students!”
