  • Meeting Every Student's Individual Needs: Sensory Room

    Many thanks to all who help make this possible for my students. The students are using these resources as calming techniques. It such a pleasant to see my students advocate for themselves and to be able to recognize when they need to decompress.

    My goal was set to have items for my students that will give them a sense of belonging, nurturing, safe, and caring. When the kids first saw the materials they were all excited and jumping for joy. The next step will be to get foam flooring and a swing.”

  • Providing a Sense of Security and Calmness: Sensory Room

    What an awesome feeling to see that my students have the opportunity to have calming resources at hand. A special moment for me is seeing my students facial expressions when they saw their new items. Special moments are those in which my students are able to advocate for themselves and know when they need that calming experience.
