Know Your Water: Understanding What is in Our Water

Funded Mar 13, 2022

We had around 100 Eighth Grade students in our school this year. Through your generous donations we were able to help bring to life the many wonders of the microscopic and chemical world of water.

Students were amazed to learn of the many life forms that can live in water. We used the books and computer programs to learn about things like algae and protists. We then dove into using microscopes to look for these life forms.

Students were able to test different water sources for elements in the water. They learned what the results of these water tests meant. They learned about PH, how not all water sources are the same when it comes to these things.

These were wonderful meaningful labs for our students to explore this year. As educators we love engaging learning, and your donation made that possible.”

With gratitude,
