• Hands-on Learning Fosters a Deeper Understanding of STEM

• Help Bring The Essentials To My Classroom Community

  This Donors Choose project was one of the most important ones that I have had funded. My students don't always have the luxury of coming to school with a full belly, clean clothes, or having showered/brushed their teeth daily. Thanks to you at Donors choose, I can provide those resources for my students at school on the days they've not had the opportunity.

  After having my project my funded, within the first week, I was able to provide resources to 6 students. Things like a tooth brush, deodorant, or snack don't seem very important, unless you are in need and don't have access.

  Ironically enough, the week after having received the materials form the project we had picture day. Because of you, we were fully prepared to tackle that day. Thank you so very much! We appreciate your support.”

• LCDs and Reinforcement Tools!

  The LCD tablets were a great addition to my classroom manipulatives. My students enjoy taking notes on the tablets and they also enjoy drawing pictures when they have a free moment.

  In addition to the LCD tablets, my students are loving the STEM items that were purchased have been a hit in the classroom store. The look forward to working hard because they know they are earning things they are interested in.

  My students also submitted drawings with this project and they were so excited to write about what they earned the first week our items became available. It brings so much joy to my heart watching them being so reinforced while at school. Thank you so much!”

• Keep Classroom Incentives Enticing

  The contribution you have made to my class has been so beneficial. Because of your donations my students are extremely excited to access their classroom store again. Because items are reinforcing again, they are more willing to complete their work without additional accommodations and modifications. Redirection is so easy now. A simple reminder about store, gets them back on track. In addition to the store items, your donations added additional sensory items for my students to engage with. My students frequently requests access to the sand bins, play-doh, and slime kits. Your donation has started our year off amazing!”

• Make Student Spending Worth While!

  This project has made such a huge impact on my students' interest in financial literacy. Having items they want to "purchase" had been so reinforcing for them. They now look forward to shopping the Friday store. The items I had in my classroom store were interesting to my last group of students. This new group of students is much, so their interests are not the same. Being provided with items in alignment with my new students' interests has made learning about financial literacy so much more fun.”

• Stem to Increase Student Engagement

  Welcoming my students back this year was made extra special by all of you who donated to these stem project. My students were overly excited when they saw all the new things.

  The legos were a great way to begin building new relationships because students were working together while building, without even realizing it.

  The Play Doh also supported my new students who entered the classroom by giving them the opportunity to sit quietly at their desks until they felt comfortable enough to branch out in the new environment.”

• The 3 R's Make an Impact. Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse.

  The materials that were donated could not have come at a better time. My class was working on climate change and the impact of solar energy just before Earth Day, so they were so excited to be able to make a small impact on bettering the environment woth the use of the materials from this project. Not only was my class excited to help make a difference, but the students I have this upcoming school year will be able to continue working on that positive impact in the future. In addition to the positive impact on the environment, the reusable containers have helped me become more organized.”

• Program Fidelity Makes All the Difference

  Thanks to your donations, my students have been provided more opportunities at independence since I have been able to create a more organized classroom for them. Program fidelity means that everything has a certain place. This allows the program to run smoothly. Not only has it made my classroom more functional, but my students really enjoy the ability to be indpendent and no rely so heavily on me for their academic materials. I am so excited to have all of these things multiple throughout my class this upcoming school year. The more prepared my classroom is, the more prepared my students can be.”

• Reinforcements for the Win!

  Keeping my students reinforced is a continuous focus of mine. The implementation of kindness cash in my classroom has been very successful. Thanks to all of you at donors chose, we were able to refill our classroom store with new and exciting merchandise. My students were so excited to see all of the new fidgets that were donated by you all. It gave them something new and exciting to work towards at the end of each week. I try my best to keep all of my students excited to do their job and make kind choices. The materials should get us through a few weeks of our classroom store.”
