Funded Aug 22, 2022Students were able to come in and get a snack especially for those that were too tired and needed that extra energy to be able to listen in class, fair trade as I know it was merely because they wanted Oreo's. Often, we would play games or whomever finished their work first and correctly could go to the snack corner and grab a snack.
The initially reaction when I brought in the supplies was interest and are those for us. I am always excited to give to my students and use as incentives for job well done. Anytime they can be rewarded or just given snacks and food they are happy.
Teaching history I have to be creative, and I have to think of different ways to engage my students. Food and snacks are a great way for that to happen. Most of the incentives come from bellwork or assignments that I need completed before they leave. Luckily my students are always ready for some snacks. Crossword and word search are my top bellwork for identifying vocab words. Students will finish up with a project for inventions and best inventions will get to choose 2 items from the snack corner.”
