STEAM Week Activities
Funded Mar 17, 2022My students absolutely loved the Wiggle Bots! The tiny motors were a game changer in the realm of innovation and creativity in the classroom. They were required to read step-by-step instructions and watch a few instructional videos in English to create their very own robot. They couldn't believe what they were able to do once they really put their minds to it.
The STEAM fair at the end of STEAM week last March was a blast but the larger projects had too many moving parts to allow the students to teach younger students outdoors. My students on the other hand were still very excited to volunteer their time and language repertoires to express their love of technology, art and science to the younger students on a SATURDAY.
Unfortunately, I am no longer assigned to Lee High School and I have moved to a middle school further north.I will always love and be impressed with my LHS English learners and I miss them everyday. I really hope their next teacher will put the projects to great use time and time again.
Thank you for believing in my students, they truly deserve so much more.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Garnier
