Your donations helped me gift my culminating 6th graders their favorite book, "The Outsiders". My students were in love with the setting, characters, and plot. For many of my students this book has opened the door to reading. When my students first started back in September of last year they were reading at below grade level. Now my students are reading at grade level! This book has given my students the opportunity to fall in love with reading again. They have learned to discover the type of literacy genres they enjoy!
