iPad for Creativity and Accountability
Funded Oct 20, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom iPad project! Your support has made a real difference in the learning experiences of my students. I am incredibly grateful for your kindness and belief in the power of education.
Thanks to your generosity, I am able to spend less time on administrative tasks and more time focusing on instruction. I can now use the iPad to take attendance quickly and easily, freeing up valuable instructional time. The students are easily about to sign out to go to the health room or the bathroom, leaving a digital footprint of their whereabouts.
Thank you also for providing the screen saver and durable case. These additions are essential for ensuring the safety and longevity of the iPad. I know that these protective measures will help the iPad last for years to come, benefiting many students in the future.
Thank you again for your incredible support. Your generosity has made a real difference in my classroom and in the lives of my students.”

Artistic Healing: Temporary Tattoos for Lahaina Students Affected by Wildfires
Funded Aug 31, 2023I wanted to express my deepest gratitude on behalf of the student victims of the wildfires in Kula and Lahaina. Your generous support has brought joy and creativity into their lives during a challenging time.
The fun tattoos and markers you provided have not only been a source of entertainment but also a means for these students to express themselves and find moments of happiness amid the recovery process. Your kindness has made a significant impact, and we are truly thankful for your commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by the wildfires.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity. Your support has brought smiles to the faces of these resilient students, and we are grateful for the positive impact you've made on their healing journey.
With heartfelt thanks,”

Shakespeare Live in 8th Grade Ela & Poe's "The Raven"
Funded Feb 28, 2023Thank you so much for fulfilling my requests for props and costumes for our in class production. The students really do enjoy performing, especially dressing up in costume, and these costumes are just fabulous! This coming school year, I'm thinking of expanding outside the classroom to do a production after school that parents can attend. I was surprised this year (when the year book came out) to see our little classroom production got an entire page. It has really become quite the tradition.
After the comedy unit, we transitioned to horror. Students were immersed into the genre of horror, especially after reading Edgar Allan Poe. We learned about Poe's tragic life and why he might have written his famous poem, "The Raven." We analyzed the extended metaphor and that there isn't really a physical bird in the room with the narrator. Thank you so much for the statue of the Raven. Now I have a visual of the "bust of Palace above my chamber door." Donor's Choose is the best! Thank you for making learning more engaging for my students!”

Classroom Kitchen
Funded Mar 6, 2022Thank you so much for my lovely kitchenette here in the classroom. The kids have stored their leftovers in the fridge and heated them up in the microwave. Almost every day a student asks to heat up their ramen.
They were very grateful for all the snacks and drinks. Security even came and made goodie bags for the students (who are homeless or food challenged) to take home on weekends.
I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. You truly made a difference and impacted the students.
They will continue to use the kitchenette for years to come.
Thank you!!
