Choice Champions!
Funded Dec 27, 2023Your donation allowed me to purchase STEM activities for my students to use weekly. Students beg to get out these new resources daily. They are well loved and well used already.
I have seen a boost in the cooperation and collaboration among students since introducing these new activities. Students get to work together with the various activities, collaboratively building and creating.
Additionally, my students have had ample opportunities to develop their social skills. My students were toddlers entering preschool when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, so many have missed the preschool, which is critical for developing their social skills. The cooperative nature of these activities has helped my students practice skills such as sharing, communicating clearly, and problem solving. Students are working together closely and learning to develop clear communication practices.
Thank you for your donation. It has truly impacted my students for the better.”

Books With Characters Like Us!
Funded Mar 28, 2023You have helped put diverse books into the hands of diverse students. Thank you for giving my students access to books with characters that look like or are similar to them. Books can build empathy and understanding with folks who are different. You are making a difference in many children’s lives. You are appreciated!”

Representation in our Reading
Funded Oct 24, 2022My students and I are so grateful for these books! As a reading teacher, it can be a challenge getting struggling readers to pick up a book. Putting out these new books drew kids in right away.
Students love sitting on a cushion and grabbing a book from the library. They beg for extra reading time- thanks to the books you helped provide! Students are interested in the new books and are eager to work on their reading skills so they can read these books independently.
Students have verbalized their excitement at seeing a book with a character that looks like them. Thank you for helping students feel seen. Representation makes all the difference- even in small ways like the books in our library.
Thank you”

Ms. Hanna
