Thank you once again for your donation. My students enjoy their new furniture and the ability to feel cozy in their counseling space. I have created a calming corner with the couch. Especially since, It is the right size for my small room. This space is for students to calm down when feeling upset. It is also a space for them to feel at ease and comfortable.
I really appreciate these resources and how my students are striving because of the donations. Thank you once again for all the love. You are blessed.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Alecia Grant
This classroom project was brought to life by The Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation and 2 other donors.
When my students found out this project was funded, they jumped with joy. They were so excited to know that people who haven't met them cared so deeply. This put a big smile on my face and I'm truly thankful.
The donated items will be used at our annual Culture Day. This is a day where students get to embrace their diversity and others' in their community. My students are anticipating this event and the donated resources have contributed so much.
Thank you once again for your amazing donation and for being a great human being!!”
Thank you once again. When my students first saw the ice pops and water, they were thrilled to "have a taste". The items were distributed at a specific moment to ensure that all the students were counted in. The waters were used at our Culture Day celebration and the ice pops got field day. My students had a ball the last couple weeks of school- thx to your donation.
Next school year I plan on creating another project that will also benefit my students academically and socially. Thank you once again.”
The new resources which are ottomans for my students to sit on have been a blessing to their counseling room. Instead of sitting on the hard table chairs, my students are entering the room and gravitating to sitting on these beautiful ottomans that were donated. There was a moment where I had a student who did not feel well. She immediately went to the rectangular shaped ottoman to rest until she felt better. It was such a good feeling knowing that I had the resource to provide the support for that student who needed it at that moment.
My students jumped for joy and were so excited when they saw their new furniture. Some peeked through my door just to see and many ran to my room because the news spread around the building that Ms. Grant had a "couch".
The next steps for a project will be small care packages that will benefit my students while brightening up their day.”
