Less Distractions, More Learning
Funded Oct 11, 20225th grade at DVS thank you so much for donating the supplies. Cleaning/sanitizing has always been essential, however, due to the pandemic taking precautions has become more important.
While we are grateful for what our school can and does provide, it is not enough to help our classroom community feel safe. Thanks to your contributions we went from receiving 1 hand sanitizer bottle every 2 to 3 weeks to having enough supplies on a daily basis. Our classroom has 3 sanitizing/cleaning stations in our classroom despite it being a relatively small size. Each station contains a pack of lysol wipes, tissue, and a bottle of hand sanitizer. Students are free to use these throughout the day as they see fit. Every time our class community walks into the classroom we sanitize our hands and we make sure to wipe our desks at the end of the day.
While we understand that there are so many factors that go into people getting sick, our classroom community has not suffered from as many illnesses and sick days as our neighbors. (Classrooms around us)
Again, thank you for helping us maintain a clean and safe environment that helps prepare us for successful days!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Trujillo
Sufficient School Supplies Help Us Thrive!
Funded Apr 8, 2022I want to thank you once again on behalf of all my 5th grade students. Your donation not only put smiles in the student's faces, but it also helped our students have the necessary items in order to complete projects and other assignments.
The Whiteboard markers helped with small group activities, full group/whole class participation when sharing responses. Students were able to complete an ecosystem project and share their research with their classmates with your help. They created dioramas and got creative with how they included the animals in their ecosystems. Some colored pictures that I printed, others used clay, and all in all they enjoyed the experience.
Thank you once again for helping me share a positive classroom experience with my class!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Trujillo
