A Modern Perspective: Romeo and Juliet
Funded Jan 15, 2025Thank you for the donation so my students are able to enjoy Romeo and Juliet. My students now have the ability to read the classic Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and learn how his timeless story can relate to the modern world. If not for your generosity many of my students would not have this opportunity.”

Brain Breaks Needed!
Funded Aug 12, 2024I am sorry about the delay in describing the impact of the fantastic brain break supplies we were sent. As you know a brain break can be described as short structured breaks that can either be some type of physical activity or another type of mindful exercise. During the brain breaks we take I have the students "unplug" themselves from their eletronic devices so we can either play a round of horse in the gym, have a Connect Four tournament or play Uno with classmates.
At the beginning of the school year the students were not sure about why we needed brain breaks. However, now students have been asking when we have our next brain break scheduled. I have started to implement "Fun Friday". This is a concept where if they are working all week, I set aside class time to have extra brain breaks on Friday. With the winter season approaching us I feel that having the opportunity to have more physical brain breaks will benefit the students.
Again, I am sorry for the delay and I can not describe how excited the students get about our brain breaks. Thank you so much for your wonderful generosity.”

This classroom project was brought to life by .A Mobile Classroom
Funded Mar 25, 2022Thank you for your support of the mobile classroom project. Currently, I am moving between classrooms to help support regular classroom teachers by working with students on skills that they are lacking. Using technology to teach has been instrumental in preparing students for the next phase of their lives, be it college or the workforce. Having a mobile classroom that provides support for technology as well as technical resources for teachers has been a large help.
The students and I are the most excited about the cart itself. This is exciting because they don't have to stop what they are doing to track down any supplies they may need and I feel much more organized. As an educator, I feel that if I model good organizational skills that it will help students become more organized, which in turn will help them become more successful students. Students also enjoy the ability to charge their school device off the cart when they forget or are unable to charge it at home. The students probably aren't as excited as I am about the lesson planning resources made available with the mobile classroom project. But I suspect they will be more excited when they use the resources to become better students and their classwork improves.”
