In my classroom, social skills are extremely important. It’s all about choices. How will your decision effect you, and those around you? Giving my students choices allows them to gain independence, use pre-taught strategies to regulate their emotions in different situations, and gain social awareness. Having flexible seating choices will help my students to reduce their anxiety, sustain attention during lessons, and focus on their class work. Having choices can be exciting and fun! Flexible seating encourages student choice and will motivate my students to be more engaged in learning.
