Hands on Materials for Students with Sensory Needs
Funded Oct 5, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity in contributing to this project. With you donations the students were really exciting to see what they received. Once the boxes were opened they were eager to play and explore all the sensory toys. The sensory toys have been placed in the calm down area. The students are able to go to the calm down corner when they are upset. Besides having these wonderful toys they are provided with different strategies to help them when they are upset. The students also have time during the day for a brain break to use these toys.
Thanks again for all your support.”

This classroom project was brought to life by LOFT.Helping Students with their Emotions
Funded Aug 31, 2023I would like to thank you so much for supporting this project. These book have helped the students identify and deal with their emotions. The students love learning about a new spot every week and also creating their own spot. These books give the students ways that they can identify with the emotions they are feeling. Some of my students its their first time in a classroom setting and this has helped them self regulate their emotions and also giving each other strategies in which they can feel better after having a hard day.
Once again thank you so much for your generosity!”

Students have used their glue sticks and construction paper to make flags of their countries. They have also used the construction paper for various crafts.
Once again thank you for helping build the foundation for these young learners and giving them the materials that they need to be successful. Here is to an amazing school year!!”

Funded Jan 23, 2023Thank you so much for all your contributions towards this project. The students are using the new materials to help them build upon their knowledge of letters, writing CVC words, and self regulation skills.
The students were very surprised and happy when they saw the new boxes in the classroom. Once we opened and showed the students what we received they were very eager to begin using the new manipulatives.
The timers have been very useful to help the students transition from one activity to another. They are very useful to help the students calm down in the calming corner. The mini dry erase boards have become very useful for the students to write and solve a simple addition and subtraction equation. The board are also great for when the students write CVC words. The students are also using the snap blocks to help create CVC words along with sight words. They are also enjoying using the letters stampers stamp their names and words. Once again thank you so much for your generous donations and helping to build upon the students knowledge of letter formation, words and number skills.”

Kindergarten Mathematicians
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you once again for your generosity. Your wonderful contributions have helped our kindergarten class become successful with letter formation- such as tracing the letters on the tactile letters. We have also used the alphabet blocks for letter recognition, putting the letters in alphabetic order and also spelling out their names with the letters. The CVC blocks and picture cards have helping the students to sound out CVC words and also tap out the sounds to read the words. The sensory gel beads have helped the students with their social and emotional needs when they need to calm down in the "calming down" area.
The students have also benefited from the math resources. They have used the giant tracing numbers to help them with number formation. The counters have been used to help the students rote count and have 1:1 correspondence to identify how many. Students have also begun to use the counters as they have been introduced to addition. The double magnetic numbers have helped the students with number recognition and 1:1 correspondence. Students have used the number puzzle to sequence numbers in order. Students have learned to count objects and finding the corresponding numbers.
The students were very excited and eager to know what was inside the boxes. Their faces lit up with excitement knowing that we had new materials to help them learn in the classroom.
I would love to thank you all for helping build the foundation in my ICT bilingual classroom!”
With gratitude,
