  • Learning Through Graphic Novels

    My students are loving the graphic novels. They sit and read in a quiet place and right now we are learning about the southern colonies and they are able to read graphic novels that talk about events that happened during that time. My lower students even enjoy listening to some of them be read aloud because they are to high for their own level. They have conversations back and forth about what is happening in their books. They are reading about Abraham Lincoln and there is a specific book about the Assassination that they love reading.”

  • Book Library

    Thank you so much for donating to my class library. My school district just got accelerated reader back and the students are loving that I have books that they specifically requested. They are reading the books and passing their tests! My students are excited to check out more books each time they take a test. I could not be more proud of all their hard work. The new graphic novel books and Pokemon books are a huge hit when it comes to the books they read. All of this would not be possible without your wonderful contribution to our classroom.

I am a ELA Co-Teacher. I try to get my students to read as much as possible, but I want them to be excited about reading and want to read even when they are at home. They can check books out from my library and take them home, come to school and be able to tell me what they read and take tests on the books to reach their AR goal. Having these books in my classroom will be a huge benefit to my students who cannot get them from the library because they are already checked out. It will also help some of my students reach their Individual Education Program goals.
